Sarah Parker
Sarah Parker has been apart of the soccer community across BC. Originally from Cloverdale, BC, began her career playing youth soccer with Surrey Breakers before transitioning to Surrey United when the BCSPL began in 2011. During her youth career, she excelled, winning provincials and competing in nationals in 2013. Notably, her team triumphed in the Presidents Day tournament in Arizona in 2017. Sarah continued her soccer career at the University of the Fraser Valley, playing for the Cascades for three years. Despite facing challenges like a meniscus tear during her second year, she made a remarkable comeback without surgery. Later, Sarah pursued semi-professional soccer in Illinois in the UWS (United Women’s Soccer League). Unfortunately, an ACL tear and surgeries sidelined her for two years due to complications along her recovery. With not giving up, she eventually returned to the field with Unity FC who competes in league 1 BC and continued to pursue her dream of playing professional soccer in England.
During Sarah’s time at UFV she completed her bachelor’s in media and communications. She was also named to the USports Academic All-Canadian list during her 2022 season. Sarah was also named to the Deans List of Distinguished Students in 2023.
Sarah has been committed to working with athletes since 2016. She has worked with all ages and skill levels to help them achieve their goals on and off the field. She lives by being the coach and guidance for athletes that she wish she had growing up. Over the many years of coaching academy’s, 1on1 training sessions and teams her passion for not only the game but the growth of athletes has deepened, driving her to inspire and empower each individual she works with to reach their fullest potential.
Outside of her coaching commitments, Sarah indulges in a variety of activities to stay active and engaged. She finds joy in playing soccer, weightlifting, exploring the world through hiking and traveling, and sports photography that brings her two worlds together.
